Ajagar

From Eldur Wiki

Ajagar is the home planet of the Talons factions, and is composed of a single continent. The terrain of the continent varies with a variety of slopes and foliage. The remainder of the planet's surface is a liquid fresh water ocean.

Northern Region

Ajagar's upper hemisphere is tilted away from its sun, allowing for the northern tip of the continent to receive heavy snowfall. The northern region is mostly inhabited by the Snowtalons, who have built a large city out of ice and snow, made strong by the years of freezing temperatures. They mainly eat sea creatures, which they capture by making holes in the northern icecap and diving below the surface.

Eastern Region

The eastern region of Ajagar is a desert wasteland which is home to the Sandtalons. Their dwellings are mostly made of sandstone and clay, with a few sporting wooden fixtures. The city is surrounded by a thick wall, which was constructed during a past war with the Mudtalons. Sandtalons mainly eat captured prey, as growing food is nigh impossible in their territory.

Central Region

The center of Ajagar is divided by a long stretch of mountains which spans from the bottom of the Snowtalon territory to the top of the Mudtalon territory. The central region of the mountain range is occupied by the Rocktalons, who live mostly in a vast subterranean network of caves. They often trade their easily obtained metals with the Jungletalons in exchange for food.

Southern Region

The southern region of Ajagar used to be entirely forest, but after a meteor collided with the planet, the resulting dust cloud wiped out most of the plant life. A massive swamp was left in the aftermath, where the Mudtalons now reside. Their city is constructed entirely of baked mud bricks and stones. The mass extinction of many of the plants has made the ground very fertile, allowing for mass farming. Despite their overproduction of food, the Mudtalons trade very little, as the swamp terrain makes it difficult to form trade routes.

Western Region

The western region of Ajagar is dominated by dense jungle, with the occasional lake breaking up the trees. This region is inhabited by the Jungletalons, who have constructed a large network of tree houses in which to live. They mostly harvest the abundance of wild fruit to eat, trading the excess with the Rocktalons for metals and other resources. When trading began, a route was quickly established between the Rocktalon mines and the Jungletalon markets, allowing both factions to flourish.
